Barbara Krause the Artist
I've been able to create art pieces that my imagination provides. My paintings are whimsical in nature, which allows them to be enjoyed and (hopefully) brings a smile to the viewer´s face. My paintings are meant to bring out emotions; whether they are sad, happy, glad, confused, surprised, enchanted, or angry.
"Nature plays an important role in the inspiration of my work. Being an avid gardener, it was a good choice for me to start painting in 2016 so as to be able to keep a ‘garden’ going during cold months."
Past and Present Art Piece Achievement
Several of the art pieces I've produced managed to achieve a bit of a level of recognition; stemming from the multitude of art galleries, art shows, and libraries that have showcased my paintings around the CNY area.
In 2018, The CNY Art Guild awarded me "Honorable Mention" for my acrylic painting of ‘Strolling’. During a 2020 art exhibit at the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute Virtual Show, I received a juror´s choice award for “The Apple Orchard”. Along with this, other shows have included the 2020 virtual show held by the Genesee Valley Council of the Arts and a 2021 in-house exhibit in the Spring.

Goals
I've achieved some of the goals that I've set for myself. Now, I continue to work towards doing better through continuing to paint pretty much every day; and having my pieces exhibited when I can. With that, many of my paintings have been viewed at the Kirkland Art Center, Facebook, The Tech Garden, Schweinfurth, and the Point of Contact Gallery including libraries and other outdoor shows and art sales in CNY.
In My Free Time
When I'm away from my canvas, I just really like chillin' with family and friends. It's what I enjoy.
"Life is Good. Drink the Wine. Smile, It’s Art."
